What is cruel with fur and leather?
Fur is not a fabric, it is the hair and skin ripped off animals such as foxes, seals, rabbits, cats, dogs, minks, chichillas, raccoons, and all sorts of furry animals. They are used as trim for coats or blouses, boots, hats to the most common: fur coats
Trapped or ranched, the animals endured terrible conditions, exposed to intense heat or cold temperatures, their babies tramped to death by other animals who are all crowded one on top of each other in small cages, defecating on top of each others, their paws all raw from the constant pressure on their chicken barb wire all over their cages. These animals are often electrocuted by protuds (???) inserted in their mouth and anus. Others are gassed.
In China, they grow and steal cats and dogs. They put them in overcrowded cages and when they transport them to kill them, these people just throw them from a 2 or 3 metters high to the floor, making the animals break their legs on impact. Then, they take them out of their cages slam the cats and dogs necks on the floor to break their necks and paralize them (but they are all alive, conscious and all capable to sense pain...), and then these people takes knives and start to peel them off alive !!!. Leg hold traps are widely use to capture furry animals. These metalic jaws, trap the animals by the legs, neck, body and mouth and cause them terrible pain for hours and most likely days. often they chew off their own paws to escape this agony, only to bleed to death and die.
In Canada, Greenland, Russia and Namibia, baby seals are beating with clubs to death for their fur. An international group of veterianarians who witnessed the hunt in 2001 in Canada, came out with the shocking evidence that a 42 % of baby seals are skinned alive !!!.Many seal mothers often are killed for protecting their babies.
Leather is the skin of animals. Most of the time animals are slaughter specially for this purpose. Leather can be from cow skin to ostrich or alligator.
You may think it is not a big deal, but how would you feel if someone, kidnap you, caged you in awful conditions and then will skin you to make leather chair, boots, jacket, wallet, hat or takes your own flesh and blood baby and rip off your baby's skin and you can't do anything about it?
Sounds horrible, isn't?
That is what thousands of animals have to suffer everyday. All for the name of vanity and greed.

Send a letter to these designers and politely request that they make their fashion more compassionate by ending the use of seal fur. Though the use of seal fur and skin is banned in the United States, these designers use seal products in their European and International Collections.
Manda cartas a estos disenadores y amablemente pideles que hagan su moda (disenos), mas humanos y que dejen de usar pieles de focas. Aunque piel de focas y cuero de focas esta prohibido en los Estados Unidos, estos disenadores los utilizan en coleciones en Europa e Internacionales.

Que hay de malo de usar abrigos de piel o cuero?
Piel o cuero no un textil , pero es el pelo y piel arrancada de animales como zorros, focas, conejos, gatos, perros, minks, chinchillas, mapaches, y todo tipo de animlaes con piel atractiva. Estas pieles o cueros se usan para "adornar"orillas de cuellos y mangas, sombreros, chaquetas, botas, bolsas pero mas comun como abrigos de piel.
Atrapados o crecidos a proposito , los animales enduran terribles condiciones, expuestos a intenso calor o frio, sus bebes aplastados hasta moris por otros animales que estan todos apretados, uno encima del otro en pequenas jaulas, defecando encima de otros animales, sus patas todas con heridas abiertas de la constante presion de su peso, sobre la malla metalica de gallinero que rodea sus jaulas. Estos animales son electrocutados por barras metalicas insertadas en el ano o boca. Otros son gaseados.
Los animales atrapados, son atrapados por las horrendas trampas de metal que parecen mandibulas y que atrapan las extremidades, cabeza o estomago de los animales, causandoles extremo dolor por dias, a menudo mascando sus propias extremidades para liberarse, solo para desangrarse.
En China, crecen o roban millones de gatos y perros domesticados, muchos con sus collares, los ponen en jaulas abarrotadas y cuando los transportan parra matarlos, los tiran de 2 a 3 metros de altura, haciendo que los animales se rompan patas y otros huesos en impacto. Estos animales, los matan aporreandolos en el suelo para romper su espina y paralizarlos (pero estan completamente vivos y conscientes, ademas de sentir dolor), y con cuchillos los empiezan a arancar la piel estando aun vivos !!!. En Canada, Groenlandia, Rusia y Namibia, bebes focas son matadas a golpes por sus pieles. Un grupo internacional de veterinarios en 2001 que observo la matanza, reporto que un 42 % de las focas bebes les arrancan la piel estando aun vivas !!!. Muchas madres focas son asesinadas tratando d eproteger a sus bebes.
Cuero es la piel de los animales. La mayoria son de animales asesinados para ese proposito. Piel puede ser de vaca, venado, avestruz, cocodrilo, etc.
Tu puedes pensar que no es gran cosa, pero como te sentirias si alguien te secuestra, enjaula en condiciones terribles y luego te arranca la piel para hacer articulos de cuero, como botas, chaquetas, carteras, bolsas, sombreros o le arrancan la piel a tu bebe quien es tu propia carne y sangre enfrente de ti y tu no puedes hacer nada cuando oyes como grita y ves como sugre tu bebe cuando le arrancan la piel?

Eso es lo que miles de animales tienen que sufrir cada dia por "lujos" innecesarios. Todo en nombre de la vanidad y avaricia de gente inhumana y cruel.
